An Elite Vocal Assessment can help you understand your voice. This assessment can be used to:

What will the session be like?
The session will be paced to cover many aspects of your voice. The approach and feedback will be sensitive and constructive. Respect and honesty are vital to make these sessions as effective as possible. As the session is not about teaching; it’s about bring out your abilities so you can have objective feedback to help your development. The session will be fairly fast paced, but not rushed, to make sure the assessment is as complete as possible.
What to expect:
- Vocal exercises
- Copying sounds
- Discussion
- Performing a song (bring a backing track but piano accompaniment may be used)
What you’ll find out about your voice:
- Vocal range
- Vocal quality feedback
- Technique feedback
- Breathing technique feedback
- Musicality feedback
- Posture feedback
- Performance feedback
Each aspect will include general information of how you can develop further. For example, if there is an aspect of posture to be addressed, you’ll find out if this could be improved through singing lessons alone or if you would benefit from body work such as Alexander Technique/ Osteopathy etc.
At the end of the session, we will chat through the feedback and after the Elite Vocal Assessment, you will receive your personal ‘Elite Vocal Assessment’ via email.
How What can the Elite Vocal Assessment be used?
The feedback you receive can be used to help many aspects of your vocal development. You can use the information to feel into your overall vocal development, whether that is: body work, musicality, well-being, performance, and of course, singing lessons.
Elite Vocal Technique and Elite Vocal Performance lessonsareavailable with me. These sessions are more focussed on quicker paced development than standard long-term singing lessons. Most people that want to have and Elite Vocal Assessment have the experience, confidence and desire to work at a faster pace to reach their goals sooner.
An Elite Vocal Assessment can feed into your long-term singing lessons too. It can give you a renewed focus and direction to make the most of your voice lessons.
Elite Vocal Technique lesson
Using the Elite Vocal Assessment, we will pick areas to include in that session. The session will include a warm-up and will target technique to the development areas you wish to cover. We will apply the technique to repertoire.
These sessions will aim to make sure you leave with an understanding of how to develop the target area(s) in your home practice. You will leave knowing personalised vocal exercises to use in your home practice. To make the most of an Elite Vocal lesson, you will need to be confident with your home practice and working at a faster pace.
Elite Vocal Performance lesson
Using the Elite Vocal Assessment, we will pick areas to include in that session. The session will include a warm-up and will target technique to the development areas you wish to cover. We will apply the technique to repertoire.
These sessions will aim to make sure you leave with an understanding of how to develop the target area(s) in your home practice. We will look at maintaining vocal technique in balance with performance qualities such as:
- Acting
- Diction
- Style
- Movement
To make the most of an Elite Vocal lesson, you will need to be confident with your home practice and working at a faster pace.
